S 'au întors la Iosua, şi i-au spus:,, Degeaba mai faci să mai meargă tot poporul; două sau trei mii de oameni vor ajunge ca să baţi cetatea Ai; nu osteni tot poporul; căci oamenii aceia sînt puţin la număr.``

When they returned to Joshua, they said, “Do not have all the people go there. Only about 2, 000 or 3, 000 men need to go to Ai. Do not make the whole army fight, for the people of Ai are few.”
