P rea iubiţilor, nu vă răsbunaţi singuri; ci lăsaţi să se răzbune mînia lui Dumnezeu; căci este scris:,, Răzbunarea este a Mea; Eu voi răsplăti``, zice Domnul.

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
