S ihon n'a îngăduit lui Israel să treacă prin ţinutul lui. Sihon a strîns tot poporul, şi a ieşit înaintea lui Israel, în pustie. A venit la Iahaţ, şi s'a luptat împotriva lui Israel.

And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.
