D ar Sihon nu l-a lăsat pe Israel să-i traverseze teritoriul, ci şi-a adunat toţi oamenii, a ieşit la luptă împotriva lui Israel în pustie şi l-a atacat la Iahaţ.

And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.
