A fară bîntuie sabia, în casă ciuma şi foametea! Cine este la cîmp va muri de sabie, iar cine este în cetate va fi mîncat de foamete şi ciumă.


The sword is without and pestilence and famine are within. He who is in the field shall die by the sword, and him who is in the city shall famine and pestilence devour.
