A m deschis iubitului meu; dar iubitul meu plecase, se făcuse nevăzut. Înebuneam, cînd îmi vorbea. L-am căutat, dar nu l-am găsit; l-am strigat, dar nu mi -a răspuns.

I opened the door to my love, but he had already gone! My heart went out to him as he spoke. I looked for him, but did not find him. I called him, but he did not answer me.
