C ovoare albe, verzi şi albastre, erau legate cu funii de in supţire şi de purpură de nişte verigi de argint şi de nişte stîlpi de marmoră. Paturi de aur şi de argint stăteau pe o podeală de porfir, de marmoră, de sidef şi de pietre negre.

There were white and blue linen curtains fastened with cords of fine linen and purple on silver rods and marble pillars; and the couches were of gold and silver on a mosaic pavement of alabaster, turquoise, and white and black marble.
