L ucrul acesta s'a întîmplat pentrucă copiii lui Israel au păcătuit împotriva Domnului, Dumnezeului lor, care -i scosese din ţara Egiptului, de supt mîna lui Faraon, împăratul Egiptului, şi pentrucă s'au închinat la alţi dumnezei.

This was so because the Israelites had sinned against the Lord their God, Who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and they had feared other gods
