C ăci Israel se deslipise de casa lui David, şi făcuseră împărat pe Ieroboam, fiul lui Nebat, care -i abătuse dela Domnul, şi făcuse pe Israel să săvîrşească un mare păcat.

For He tore Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam son of Nebat king. And Jeroboam drew and drove Israel away from following the Lord and made them sin a great sin.
