D ar poporul a zis:,, Să nu ieşi! Căci dacă vom lua -o la fugă, luarea aminte nu se va îndrepta asupra noastră; şi cînd vor cădea jumătate din noi, nu vor lua seama la noi; dar tu eşti ca zece mii dintre noi, şi acum este mai bine să ne vii în ajutor din cetate.``

But the people said, “You shall not go out; for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us. But you are worth ten thousand of us. Therefore now it is better that you are ready to help us out of the city.”
