M as os homens disseram: “Não faças isso! Se tivermos que fugir, eles não se preocuparão conosco, e mesmo que metade de nós morra em batalha, eles não se importarão. Tu, porém, vales por dez mil de nós. Melhor será que fiques na cidade e dali nos dês apoio”.

But the people said, “You shall not go out; for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us. But you are worth ten thousand of us. Therefore now it is better that you are ready to help us out of the city.”
