L e-au înghiţit, fără să se poată cunoaşte că intraseră în pîntecele lor; ba încă înfăţişarea lor era tot aşa de urîtă ca mai înainte. Şi m'am deşteptat.

And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
