A nd when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

Le-au înghiţit, fără să se poată cunoaşte că intraseră în pîntecele lor; ba încă înfăţişarea lor era tot aşa de urîtă ca mai înainte. Şi m'am deşteptat.
