L ot şi -a ridicat ochii, şi a văzut că toată Cîmpia Iordanului era bine udată în întregime. Înainte de a nimici Domnul Sodoma şi Gomora, pînă la Ţoar, era ca o grădină a Domnului, ca ţara Egiptului.

And Lot looked and saw that everywhere the Jordan Valley was well watered. Before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as you go to Zoar.
