Q uando Saul viu Davi avançando para enfrentar o filisteu, perguntou a Abner, o comandante do exército: “Abner, quem é o pai daquele rapaz?” Abner respondeu: “Juro por tua vida, ó rei, que eu não sei”.

When Saul saw David going out against the Philistine, he said to Abner the head of his army, “Abner, whose son is this young man?” And Abner said, “By your life, O king, I do not know.”
