A ssim Josué conquistou a região toda, incluindo a serra central, o Neguebe, a Sefelá e as vertentes, e derrotou todos os seus reis, sem deixar sobrevivente algum. Exterminou tudo o que respirava, conforme o Senhor, o Deus de Israel, tinha ordenado.

So Joshua smote all the land, the hill-country, and the South, and the lowland, and the slopes, and all their kings: he left none remaining, but he utterly destroyed all that breathed, as Jehovah, the God of Israel, commanded.
