Q uando a notícia chegou a Joabe, que havia conspirado com Adonias, ainda que não com Absalão, ele fugiu para a Tenda do Senhor e agarrou-se às pontas do altar.

Now the news came to Joab. For Joab had followed Adonijah, but he had not followed Absalom. And Joab ran to the tent of the Lord and took hold of the horns of the altar.
