C ând a sosit el, Eli şedea pe scaunul său, aşteptând lângă drum, căci inima lui tremura din pricina Chivotului lui Dumnezeu. Bărbatul a intrat în cetate, a spus ce s-a întâmplat şi întreaga cetate a început să ţipe.

When he arrived, Eli was sitting by the road watching, for his heart trembled for the ark of God. When the man told the news in the city, all the city cried out.
