U nd siehe, als er hineinkam, saß Eli auf dem Stuhl, daß er den Weg sähe; denn sein Herz war zaghaft über die Lade Gottes. Und da der Mann in die Stadt kam, sagte er's an, und die ganze Stadt schrie.

When he arrived, Eli was sitting by the road watching, for his heart trembled for the ark of God. When the man told the news in the city, all the city cried out.
