A tunci Samuel i-a zis lui Saul: Oare Îi plac Domnului arderile de tot şi jertfele mai mult decât ascultarea de glasul Său? Ascultarea este mai bună decât jertfele şi luarea-aminte la Cuvântul Lui este mai bună decât grăsimea berbecilor.


Samuel said, Has the Lord as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
