G aal, fiul lui Ebed, zicea: „Cine este Abimelek şi cine este Şehem ca să-i slujim? Nu este el fiul lui Ierub-Baal şi nu este Zebul reprezentantul lui? E mai bine să slujiţi oamenilor lui Hamor, tatăl lui Şehem! De ce să-i slujim lui Abimelek?

And Gaal, the son of Ebed, said, Who is Abimelech and who is Shechem that we should serve him? Is he not the son of Jerubbaal? And is not Zebul his deputy? Serve the men of Hamor, the father of Shechem. For why should we serve him?
