Î n ziua a şaptea, înainte de apusul soarelui, oamenii din cetate i-au zis: – Ce este mai dulce decât mierea şi ce este mai puternic decât leul? – Dacă n-aţi fi arat cu viţeaua mea, nu mi-aţi fi dezlegat ghicitoarea, le-a răspuns el.

And the men of the city say to him on the seventh day, before the sun goeth in: -- `What sweeter than honey? And what stronger than a lion?' And he saith to them: `Unless ye had ploughed with my heifer, Ye had not found out my riddle.'
