D acă vreodată ne vor vorbi astfel nouă sau urmaşilor noştri, ne-am gândit să le răspundem astfel: «Priviţi acest altar al Domnului pe care l-au zidit strămoşii noştri, nu pentru a aduce arderi de tot şi jertfe, ci pentru a fi o mărturie între noi şi voi.»

`And we say, And it hath been, when they say unto us, and unto our generations hereafter, that we have said, See the pattern of the altar of Jehovah, which our fathers made -- not for burnt-offering nor for sacrifice -- but a witness it between us and you.
