T ribunul i-a dat voie, iar Pavel, stând în picioare pe trepte, a făcut poporului semn cu mâna. Când s-a făcut tăcere deplină, li s-a adresat în limba aramaică astfel:

The captain told Paul to speak. So Paul stood on the steps and held up his hand. When there was no more noise, he spoke to them in the language of the Jews.
