a cea zi a întunericului şi a negurii, acea zi cu nori şi cu întuneric adânc! Ca zorii care se aştern peste munţi, aşa vine o oştire mare şi puternică, cum n-a mai fost vreodată din vechime şi nici nu va mai fi în veacurile care vin.

A day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and of thick mists and darkness, like the morning dawn spread upon the mountains; so there comes a people numerous and mighty, the like of which has never been before and shall not be again even to the years of many generations.
