Ezechiel 31:14 ~ Ezekiel 31:14

T oate acestea, pentru ca nici unul dintre copacii de lângă ape să nu se mai mândrească cu înălţimea lui şi să nu-şi mai ridice vârful până la nori şi pentru ca nici un copac udat de ape să nu-şi mai înalţe trunchiul spre ei. Căci toţi sunt sortiţi morţii, în tărâmul de jos, printre muritori, la cei ce s-au coborât în groapă.»

All this is so that none of the trees by the waters may exalt themselves because of their height or shoot up their top among the thick boughs and the clouds, and that none of their mighty ones should stand upon themselves for their height, all that drink water. For they are all delivered over to death, to the lower world, in the midst of the children of men, with those who go down to the pit (the grave).
