C oboară-te din slava ta şi aşază-te pe pământ uscat, locuitor al fiicei Dibonului, căci pustiitorul Moabului se va ridica împotriva ta şi-ţi va distruge fortăreţele!

Come down from your glory, you inhabitant of the Daughter of Dibon, and sit on the ground among the thirsty! For the destroyer of Moab is advancing against you; he will destroy your strongholds.
