D acă un stăpân va lovi ochiul vreunui sclav sau al vreunei sclave şi-l face pe acesta sau pe aceasta să-şi piardă ochiul, sclavul, respectiv sclava, să fie lăsaţi să plece liberi ca despăgubire pentru ochi.

And if a man hits the eye of his servant or the eye of his maid so that it is destroyed, he shall let him go free for his eye’s sake.
