C ând a auzit aceste cuvinte şi această profeţie a lui Azaria, fiul profetului Oded, Asa s-a îmbărbătat şi a îndepărtat urâciunile din toată ţara lui Iuda, a lui Beniamin şi din cetăţile pe care le cuceriseră în regiunea muntoasă a lui Efraim. El a înnoit altarul Domnului care se afla înaintea porticului de la Casa Domnului.
