V ăzând că se făcuseră urâţi lui David, Hanun şi amoniţii au trimis o mie de talanţi de argint ca să tocmească care şi călăreţi din Aram-Naharayim, din regatul arameu al Maacăi şi din Ţoba.

When the Ammonites saw that they had made themselves hateful to David, Hanun and sent 1, 000 talents of silver to hire chariots and horsemen from Mesopotamia and Aram-maacah and Zobah.
