E i I-au respins hotărârile, legământul încheiat cu strămoşii lor şi mărturiile pe care li le-a dat El, umblând după lucruri de nimic şi devenind ei înşişi de nimic. Ei s-au luat după neamurile care erau în jurul lor, cu toate că Domnul le-a poruncit să nu se asemene cu ele.
