A tunci femeia al cărei fiu era viu s-a umplut de durere pentru fiul ei şi a zis: – Te rog, stăpânul meu, dă-i ei copilul, dar nu-l omorî! Cealaltă însă zicea: – Să nu fie nici al meu, nici al tău! Tăiaţi-l în două!

Then the mother of the living child said to the king, for she yearned over her son, O my lord, give her the living baby, and by no means slay him. But the other said, Let him not be mine or yours, but divide him.
