E i au luat taurul dat lor şi l-au pregătit; apoi au chemat numele lui Baal de dimineaţa până la amiază, zicând: „ Baal, răspunde-ne!“ Dar nu s-a auzit nici un glas. Nimeni n-a răspuns, deşi ei săreau în jurul altarului pe care-l construiseră.

And they take the bullock that gave to them, and prepare, and call in the name of Baal from the morning even till the noon, saying, `O Baal, answer us!' and there is no voice, and there is none answering; and they leap on the altar that one had made.
