C osí essi presero il torello che fu dato loro e lo prepararono; poi invocarono il nome di Baal dal mattino fino a mezzogiorno, dicendo: «O Baal, rispondici!». Ma non si udí alcuna voce e nessuno rispose; intanto essi saltavano intorno all'altare che avevano fatto.

And they take the bullock that gave to them, and prepare, and call in the name of Baal from the morning even till the noon, saying, `O Baal, answer us!' and there is no voice, and there is none answering; and they leap on the altar that one had made.
