T oţi cei din sfatul bătrânilor lui Israel veniseră la rege, în Hebron, astfel că regele David a încheiat legământ cu ei înaintea Domnului la Hebron. Apoi ei l-au uns pe David ca rege peste Israel.

And all the elders of Israel come unto the king, to Hebron, and king David maketh with them a covenant in Hebron before Jehovah, and they anoint David for king over Israel.
