A bner s-a mâniat foarte tare din cauza spuselor lui Iş-Boşet şi i-a zis: – Oare cap de câine sunt eu? Sunt oare de partea lui Iuda? Astăzi am dat dovadă de credincioşie faţă de Casa tatălui tău, Saul, a fraţilor şi a prietenilor lui şi nu te-am dat în mâna lui David, iar tu mă găseşti astăzi vinovat din cauza acestei femei!

Then Abner was very angry at the words of Ish-bosheth and said, Am I a dog’s head against Judah? This day I keep showing kindness and loyalty to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers, and his friends, and have not delivered you into the hands of David; and yet you charge me today with a fault concerning this woman!
