A bsalom şi toţi cei din sfatul bătrânilor lui Israel au zis: „Sfatul architului Huşai este mai bun decât cel al lui Ahitofel.“ Aceasta pentru că Domnul a hotărât să zădărnicească sfatul cel bun al lui Ahitofel ca să aducă nenorocirea asupra lui Absalom.

Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than that of Ahithophel. For the Lord had ordained to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, so that the Lord might bring evil upon Absalom.
