I mediat ce-au auzit cele întâmplate, fiii lui Iacov s-au întors de la câmp. Ei s-au supărat şi s-au mâniat foarte tare, pentru că Şehem a făcut un lucru ruşinos în Israel, culcându-se cu fiica lui Iacov; un astfel de lucru nu trebuia făcut.

and the sons of Jacob came in from the field when they heard, and the men grieve themselves, and it very displeasing to them, for folly he hath done against Israel, to lie with the daughter of Jacob -- and so it is not done.
