c ome me ne sono testimoni il sommo sacerdote e tutto il collegio degli anziani; avute da loro delle lettere per i fratelli, mi recavo a Damasco per condurre legati a Gerusalemme anche quelli che erano là, perché fossero puniti.

as also the high priest bears me witness, and all the elderhood: from whom also, having received letters to the brethren, I went to Damascus to bring those also who were there, bound, to Jerusalem, to be punished.
