Q uesto dissero i suoi genitori perché avevano paura dei Giudei; infatti i Giudei avevano già stabilito che se uno avesse riconosciuto Gesù come Cristo, sarebbe stato espulso dalla sinagoga.

His parents said this because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should acknowledge Jesus to be the Christ, he should be expelled and excluded from the synagogue.
