P er questo motivo si sparse tra i fratelli la voce che quel discepolo non sarebbe morto; Gesù però non gli aveva detto che non sarebbe morto, ma: «Se voglio che rimanga finché io venga, che t’importa?»

Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
