E ssi dissero: «Il Dio degli Ebrei si è presentato a noi; lasciaci andare per tre giornate di cammino nel deserto, per offrire sacrifici al Signore, nostro Dio, affinché egli non ci colpisca con la peste o con la spada».

And they said, The God of the Hebrews has met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Jehovah our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence or with sword.
