P oiché il nemico perseguita l’anima mia; egli calpesta al suolo la mia vita; mi fa abitare in luoghi tenebrosi come coloro che sono morti già da lungo tempo.

For an enemy hath pursued my soul, He hath bruised to the earth my life, He hath caused me to dwell in dark places, As the dead of old.
