N ell’arca non c’era altro se non le due tavole di pietra che Mosè vi aveva deposte sull’Oreb, quando il Signore fece il patto con i figli d’Israele, dopo che questi furono usciti dal paese d’Egitto.

There was nothing in the special box of God except the two stone writings which Moses put there at Horeb. It was there that the Lord made an agreement with the people of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
