U n uomo a cavallo andò dunque incontro a Ieu e gli disse: «Così dice il re: “Portate pace?”» Ieu rispose: «Che importa a te della pace? Passa dietro a me». E la sentinella fece rapporto, dicendo: «Il messaggero è giunto fino a loro, ma non torna indietro».

So a horseman went to meet him and said, “The king asks, ‘Do you come in peace?’” And Jehu said, “What have you to do with peace? Get behind me.” Then the watchman told Joram, “The horseman came to them, but he did not return.”
