‘ Poiché il tuo cuore è stato toccato, poiché ti sei umiliato davanti al Signore, udendo ciò che io ho detto contro questo luogo e contro i suoi abitanti, che saranno cioè abbandonati alla desolazione e alla maledizione; poiché ti sei stracciato le vesti e hai pianto davanti a me, anch’io ti ho ascoltato’, dice il Signore.

Because your heart was penitent and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I said against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation, a curse, and you have rent your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you, says the Lord.
