N a te mea he ngawari tou ngakau, a kua whakaiti koe i a koe ki te aroaro o Ihowa, i a koe ka rongo na ki taku i mea ai mo tenei wahi, mo ona tangata hoki, kia meinga ratou hei ururua, hei kanga; a kua haehae i ou kakahu, kua tangi ki toku aroaro; na kua rongo ano hoki ahau i a koe, e ai ta Ihowa.

Because your heart was penitent and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I said against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation, a curse, and you have rent your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you, says the Lord.
