E d Elia gli disse: «Fèrmati qui, ti prego, perché il Signore mi manda al Giordano». Egli rispose: «Com’è vero che il Signore vive, e che tu vivi, io non ti lascerò». E proseguirono il cammino insieme.

And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here, for the LORD has sent me to the Jordan. And he said, As the LORD lives and as thy soul lives, I will not leave thee. And thus the two went on.
