P oi Elia gli disse: «Fermati qui, ti prego, perché l'Eterno mi manda al Giordano». Egli rispose: «Come è vero che l'Eterno vive e che tu stesso vivi, io non ti lascerò». Cosí proseguirono il cammino assieme.

And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here, for the LORD has sent me to the Jordan. And he said, As the LORD lives and as thy soul lives, I will not leave thee. And thus the two went on.
