A llora Abner spedì dei messaggeri a Davide per dirgli: «A chi appartiene il paese? Fa’ alleanza con me e il mio braccio sarà al tuo servizio per volgere dalla tua parte tutto Israele».

And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying, Make thy covenant with me, and behold, my hand shall be with thee, to turn all Israel to thee.
